Liftoff Legacy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 2, 2026 · Last updated: November 2, 2026

This policy explains how Rocketclad Studios ("we", "us") handles information when you play Liftoff Legacy (the "game") on iPhone, iPad, Android or the web. We're a small independent studio based in California, USA. If you have any question about your privacy, email privacy@rocketclad.com.

The short version

  • You don't need an account, and we never ask for your name, email or phone number to play.
  • Your progress is saved on your device.
  • Gameplay analytics are sent only if you say yes, and you can switch them off any time in Settings.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We never see your card details.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

Game data saved on your device

The game saves your progress on your device: levels, buildings, rockets, coins, boosters, settings, and a random player ID the game creates the first time it runs. The player ID isn't linked to your name or any account. This data stays on your device. We don't receive it unless you choose to send it to us (see "Support emails" below).

Gameplay analytics (only with your permission)

Early in the game we ask whether you'd like to share anonymous gameplay data. If you say yes, the game sends gameplay events to Unity Analytics, a service of Unity Technologies, to help us understand where players get stuck and how to make the game better. This includes:

  • Gameplay events, such as levels started and finished, moves used, boosters used, mini-games played, rockets launched, tutorial steps reached, shop and offer views, rewarded ads requested, and in-game coins earned or spent.
  • Purchase events: which product was bought, its price and currency. No payment details.
  • Information Unity collects automatically: a Unity-generated user or installation ID, device model, operating system, game version, language, and approximate country or region worked out from your IP address.

If you say no, or don't answer, no gameplay events are sent. You can change your answer any time with the Share analytics switch in the game's Settings. When the game starts, Unity's services connect to Unity's servers so they're ready if you say yes. This connection is subject to Unity's privacy policy.

Purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms and privacy policies. We use Unity In-App Purchasing to talk to the store. We receive a confirmation of what was bought (the product, date and a transaction receipt) so we can deliver it and restore it later. We never receive your name, card number or billing address.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the game schedules reminders (for example, when your energy is full or your Daily Drop is ready) locally on your device. We don't run a push notification server and don't receive any data from these reminders. You can turn them off in the game or in your device's settings.

Support emails

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. When you use Settings → Support → Email us, the game pre-fills a short block of information that you can see and edit before sending: your player ID, game version, device model and operating system, level and location in the game, subscription status (such as the Star Pass), coin balance, and your most recent purchase. This helps us fix your problem quickly.

Information we don't collect

We don't collect your name, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or health information, and we don't use the camera or microphone.

2. How we use information

  • To run the game, deliver and restore your purchases, and keep your progress.
  • To understand how the game is played and improve levels, balance and features (only with analytics permission).
  • To answer your support requests.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet legal obligations.

3. Who we share information with

We only share information with service providers that help us run the game, and only for that purpose:

ProviderWhat forTheir policy
Unity TechnologiesGame engine services, Unity Analytics (only with your permission), and Unity In-App PurchasingUnity privacy policy
AppleApp Store purchases and subscriptionsApple privacy policy

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our players or others, or as part of a sale or merger of our studio (in which case this policy would continue to apply). We do not sell your personal information.

4. Ads

The game offers optional rewarded ads: you choose to watch a short ad in exchange for an in-game bonus. Ads are never forced, and Star Pass members get the bonus without watching. At the time of this policy, rewarded ads in the game don't come from an ad network and no advertising data is collected.

When we connect an ad network, we'll update this policy first to name it and describe what it collects. Ad networks typically use your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device information and how you interact with ads in order to show and measure ads. On iPhone and iPad, we'll ask your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.

5. How long we keep information

  • On your device: until you delete the game.
  • Analytics: kept by Unity for the period described in Unity's policy, and used by us in summary form. You can ask us to delete it (see below).
  • Support emails: as long as needed to help you and keep a record of the conversation, generally no longer than two years. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Purchase records: as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.

6. Your choices

  • Analytics: turn Share analytics on or off any time in the game's Settings.
  • Notifications: turn them off in the game or in your device settings.
  • Delete game data: delete the game from your device.
  • Access, correction or deletion: email privacy@rocketclad.com. Include your player ID if you have it (it's at the bottom of any support email the game prepares) so we can find your data. We'll pass deletion requests on to Unity as well.

7. Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we've collected about you, where it came from, why, and who we've shared it with.
  • Delete personal information we've collected from you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We don't sell it or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We don't collect any.
  • Not be discriminated against for using these rights.

In the past 12 months, the categories of personal information we may have collected are: identifiers (a random player ID, Unity's analytics ID, and your email address if you contacted us), commercial information (purchase records), internet or device activity (gameplay events, with permission), and general location (country or region from your IP address, with permission). They came from you and your device, and we used them for the purposes in section 2. We disclosed them only to the service providers in section 3.

To make a request, email privacy@rocketclad.com. We'll confirm your request within 10 days and respond within 45 days. To protect you, we may ask for details that show the data is yours, such as your player ID. You can use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof they're authorized to act for you.

Do Not Track: the game doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites, so we don't respond to Do Not Track signals differently. Under California's "Shine the Light" law, you may ask whether we've shared personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing. We haven't.

8. Players outside the United States

We're based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the US and other countries. Wherever you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your analytics permission, using the contacts above. If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on your consent for analytics and on our legitimate interest in running the game and answering support. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Children

Liftoff Legacy is meant for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email privacy@rocketclad.com and we'll delete it.

10. Security

We keep data to a minimum, use reputable service providers, and send data over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect the information we have.

11. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when the game changes how it handles information, for example before connecting an ad network. We'll change the "Last updated" date at the top, and if a change is significant, we'll also let you know in the game.
